Power Technician
Job Title
Power Technician (Note: This position is a three-month contract position and is renewable subject to availability and performance).
Functional Role
Installation Technician undertakes the installation of telecom equipment at
site for different projects on the global market. The Installation service
applies to all network elements in new, upgrade and change-out installations.
• Manage the installation work on site in accordance to Ericsson
procedures and with respect to customer’s directives.
• Receive and check material against order acknowledgement and
shipping specification.
• Together with Supervisor give special attention to installation work
ongoing in ‘Live Equipment’ where the risk of disturbances in customer
network is high.
• Understand safety rules and use of safety material and tools.
• Together with Supervisor plan, allocate the installation work in
accordance with applicable instructions for handling, assembly, wiring,
checking and work environment (Site Documentation).
• Together with Supervisor check that the working environment is
maintained at an acceptable level, carry out safety inspections and
ensure that mains, electrical tools etc are in good conditions.
• Together with Supervisor check those visual inspections and wire
testing is carried out in the correct manner. Report and take measures
to eliminate factors in the work having a negative effect on quality.
Report any changing in Site installation documentation/C-module to
the Engineering department or the Project leader.
Human Skill Requirements
• Ability to travel extensively
• Willingness to climb tall structures for antenna products (required
Climbing Certification according to local regulation. See Functional
Skill; Installation Technician, Antenna Products).
• Willingness to work with AC Power equipment (required Electrician
Certification according to local regulation. See Functional Skill;
Installation Technician, Power Equipment).
• Safety regulations knowledge
• Normal physical abilities (no color blindness)

• Valid driver’s license
