NAOC Undergraduate Scholarship Programme
The Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited (NAOC) Operator of the NNPC/NAOC/Phillips Joint Venture  in pursuance of its Corporate Social Responsibility invites application from suitably qualified applicants for its
2011/2012 session tertiary scholarship scheme.
The scholarship award is in the following categories:
Category of Awards
•Host Communities Merit Award – For applicants strictly from NAOC host communities
•National Merit Award For applicants from non-host communities
Eligibility
To qualify for consideration applicants MUST be:
•Registered FULL TIME undergraduates in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions
•Certified 100 level students at the time of application
Note: The following categories of students should not apply:
•200 level students and above
•Current beneficiaries of similar awards from other companies and agencies
•Dependants of NAOC Note:
•Only indigenes of NAOC host communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and lmo States SHOULD apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.
•Only candidates studying Engineering, Geology and Geosciences are eligible for the National Merit Award.
Note: All applicants for Host Communities Merit Award MUST attach current (2012 –2013) Letters of Identification duly signed by:
•bona-fide traditional/paramount ruler of the community
•the current (2012) Chairman and Secretary of his/her CDC
•the current (2012) Local Government Chairman or the Secretary
Aptitude Test
An Aptitude Test for the applicants in both Categories of Award will be conducted at the following centers:
•Port Harcourt
•Omoku
•Owerri
•Abuja   
•Yenagoa
•Asaba
•Lagos
Note: Candidates are to fully bear the cost of transportation to and from theAptitude Test center.

Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a leading international Oil & Gas services Group to recruit a Maintenance Technician for its operations in Nigeria.
Job description
The Maintenance Technician will perform advanced mechanical, electronic and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on Company equipment and components according to Company quality & safety standards. The maintenance technician has a leader role in the maintenance team and will help supervise, organise and control the performance of maintenance duties in the location and at the wellsite. He/she will help provide support to WS operations to improve the service delivery process.
Responsibilities
Comply with all Company & Regulatory HS&E & Quality standards and policies and maintain required HS&E & SQ certifications up-to-date.
Supervise and perform preventive, planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on company equipment and components according to Company standards and the STEM program in the workshop and at the well site.
Assist the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager in supervisory and managerial roles.
Will have developed the following competencies:
Fully competent on STEM-II and STEM-III in not less than two sub-segments with expert knowledge in some areas.
Expert competency in the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the WS unit mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, unit engines, drive trains and transmissions). Able to perform main component changes on engines, pumps, transmissions, etc
Has intermediate level competency of the troubleshooting of electronic/electrical systems (electronic, electrical, sensors, HMI’s, communication systems, DCU’s, monitoring and recording equipment and instrumentation).
Expert user in the use and application of Fleet Assistant and InTouch
Be competent in the safe and proper operation of selected items of WS equipment and their operational and technical characteristics. Keeps current on new mechanical equipment and maintenance techniques.
Act as mentor and coach to maintenance personnel. Coach Equipment Operators/FS/FE’s in the correct STEM-I procedures.
Develop own personnel and management skills and continue to develop competency levels for promotion to the next level as per the WIS Maintenance SCDP. Review and discuss progress with Supervisor and maintains training records in ILEARN.
Play a leadership role in the District HS&E & Quality initiatives and programs (eg. SOIM's, Risk Assessments, Quality Improvements, ERP, HSE and SQ Objectives, LPT and SQC).
Be responsible for the proper documentation of all aspects of each maintenance task (eg. Labor tracking and Repair Orders in Fleet Assistant, STEM reporting, Best Practices in InTouch, etc.).
Perform a Risk Analysis (eg. HARC, JSA, Stepback 5x5) before each job or task to identify & address potential safety hazards. Corrects and reports hazards immediately in QUEST.
Use the Company computer-based systems for the planning, documentation and information relating to maintenance tasks (eg. Fleet Assistant, InTouch).
Supervise housekeeping duties as part of the maintenance team to maintain cleanliness in the shop and work areas.
Qualifications et experience
High School Diploma or GED plus 2-yr Associate Degree (Higher National Diploma – HND in UK) from a community college or vocational college.
NLT 4 years previous Oil & Gas experience or other specified industry, Army Engineers, boat/ marine Engineer or other oilfield related company experience in the Maintenance Department
Mechanic/Electronic apprenticeship
Adaptability, Creativity
Communication – Verbal & Written
Knowledge of Work and Understanding of Product/Service – Equipment assigned
Team work, Initiative, High energy level

JOB PURPOSE
To design and develop business solution using optimization strategies as well as identifying where technology can be used to reduce operational cost or enhance EBITA, ensuring the organization identifies and executes world class operational approaches.
As part of the business process optimization team, the individual will be accountable for leading multifunctional teams within the business to deliver strategic business improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the business Entity and shared services heads to develop business solution to operational issues as well providing an associated cost or revenue benefit
Support in developing business optimization plan for each of the Entities and the group.
Mapping out and documentation of complex processes, to streamline the process reducing complexity using tools to define and highlight roles and responsibilities – providing clarity
To act as a Quality Assurance agent on all critical business processes within the entities and across the group.
Carrying out business critical process audits to determine process failures with recommended actions
Developing detail execution plans taking into consideration project risk and critical success factors, to realize agreed solutions
Reporting project(s) progress at an executive level, highlighting support requirements to achieve the desired results.
Working with the BIM team to review software solution for business process operational issues
Working with the BIM team to managing UAT interfaces for successful implementation of new software and upgrades for process optimization.
Design and implement change management approaches including training and coaching methodologies to ensure sustainability of implemented solutions
Using innovation and industry best practice to develop continuous improvement strategies to deliver world class business / operational approaches to enhance Oando’s competitive advantage
Carrying out operational best practice research and its application across the Oando Group, Thus including specific entity requirement for the future
To coach and develop the process analyst to become execution specialist
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
A good University degree in computer science and or business management, an MBA is desirable
5-7 year experience in business analysis / business optimization
Ability to travel and work at different locations.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Excellent engagement skill at senior to lower levels in the organization.
Excellent communications skills, ability to confer message via oral presentations or written reports
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
