Requirement

At least oow (engine) certificate of competency (coc)

Minimum of 5years seagoing experience

Good knowledge of shipping operations in the shipping and marine company

2nd officers – ref: nsml/2011/002 (onboard nlng chartered ships)

Requirement

Minimum of oow (deck) certificate of competency (coc)

At least 5years seagoing experience

Good knowledge of shipping operations in the shipping and marine company

Trainee electrical officers – ref: nsml/2011/004 (onboard nglg chartered ships)

Requirement

Hnd in electrical or electronics/mechanical engineering/physics gained

at least upper credit division

Maximum of 25years of age

Should be able to work in a multicultural environment

NLNG Ship Manning Limited (NSML, subsidiary of Nigeria LNG Limited, seeks to engage personnel for immediate employment in the following positions:

Trainee Electrical Officers – Ref: NSML/2011/004

Location: Onboard LNLG Chartered Ships

The Job: the appointee will be required to maintain electrical installations on board vessels and safely repair all electrical equipment as directed by the Chief Engineer.

The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

Repair electrical equipment
Maintain integrity of electrical installations
Monitor electrical insulations onboard the vessel.
Undertake fault-finding and repair electrical and electronic systems on board vessels
Carry out other electrical duties as required by the Chief Engineer
The Person: The right person should:

Possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical/Electronics, or MechanicalEngineering or Physics obtained at a minimum of Upper Credit.
Be a good team player with ability to work in a multicultural environment
Be professional and able to carry our tasks with little supervision
Not be more than 25 years old
No experience is required for this position but knowledge of marine electrical installations onboard a vessel will be an added advantage

We currently have six trains in operation. With the completion of the sixth train, the Nigeria LNG Plant has an overall capacity of some 22 million tonnes per annum of LNG and 4 million tonnes per annum of LPG. It requires about 3.5 bcf/d feedgas intake at full production.
