HEAD, RETAIL SALES & MARKETING
RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will be responsible for the development of a successful retail products distribution, marketing and sales strategy for the achievement of set goals and objectives.
PROSPECTIVE APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE REQUISITE QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE IN:
• Directing retail sales and its promotional strategy with the objective of promoting the brand to existing and potential customers.
• Devising appropriate distribution strategies and plans for the creation of an effective trade and distribution channels for the retail products.
• Coordinating activities of a retail products sales teams nationwide
• Coordinating with relevant teams on advertising, promotions, exhibitions, sponsorships etc to ensure development of effective marketing materials for promotion of the product’s brand promise/values for the achievement of product visibility, customer retention and loyalty to the brand in line with regulatory guidelines
• Monitoring and analyzing sales performance and promotional campaigns to determine effectiveness.

REQUIREMENTS:
A first degree or HND in the Social Sciences, with a minimum of 15years relevant work experience and 5years practical experience in retail sales at a senior management level in a FMCG organization. He/she must have initiative and good analytical/problem solving skills; with excellent interpersonal, selling and communication skills.
EXPORT SALES MANAGER
An enterprising role to develop Export Markets for the Company’s products by applying creative sales & marketing strategies for achievement of our sales targets and market share in target markets,
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement strategic sales plan in new export markets to achieve set business objectives.
• Manage the company’s established export account relationships to ensure customer satisfaction
• Review marketing and sales targets for the Export product lines to increase market share and profitability
• Liaise and maintain records of all relevant export regulations, processes and laws in respect of the target markets
• Acquire and maintain records of all relevant export/import regulations, processes and laws in respect of export sales target markets

REQUIREMENTS:

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER
The human Resource Manager will be required to work as an integral part of the Human Resources and Administration team; providing efficient and effective support for all HR services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To provide support on all aspects of HR Management, including workforce planning and staffing, employee relations, employee development and performance management.
• Ensure that all HR issues are addressed in accordance with the Nigerian labor laws.
• Ensure that all HR issues are addressed in accordance with the company’s policies.
• Assist the Head HR/Admin in the provision of strategic support to all functional Heads of our plant operations.
• Maintain and coordinate all industrial relations activities to ensure the existence of industrial peace in the organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
A first degree in social sciences or any related discipline MBA in HR or any related Masters degree is an advantage. Seven (7) years as a human resource Manager including solid experience in employee relations, recruitment and performance management, policy implementation and Administration. Ability to think strategically and membership of IPM is required.
ADMIN MANAGER
The successful candidate will ensure adequate provision and maintenance of working tools, equipment and other facilities for the company; and coordinate the activities of all subunits in the department
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Inspect and monitor use of company facilities & assets
• Supervise the daily fleet management operations
• Review and approve purchase requisitions
• Coordinate all the company’s protocol activities
• liaise with utility service providers for prompt provision of services
• Plan, review and approve requests for vehicle maintenance
• Prepare department’s annual budget and Monitor the department’s expense lines
• Review reports on the key activities of the department and ensure safe-keeping of records
• Review and negotiate contract agreements
• Review & update processes and procedures for purchasing, storing and distributing consumables, stationery, utilities and physical assets
REQUIREMENTS
A first degree in Business Administration or related discipline. Masters in Business Administration. Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) is required, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

POSITION: DESIGN ENGINEER (Infrastructure)
QUALIFICATION:
Candidate applying for this position should possess a minimum of SC or its equivalent with good experience in Highway Engineering and Drainage Design.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duties will include but not limited to general infrastructure design, Roads & Highways, Storm Water and Foul Drainage design, Water network supply design for Housing projects, Estate development and dams. The candidate should also have good planning, documentation and reporting skills.
SOFTWARE SKILLS:
The candidate must be conversant with one or a combination of the following Civil Design packages: AUTODESK, CIVIL, 3D CIVILCAD, INTROADS/Bentley, PDS of Causeway and Land Desktop.
EXPERIENCE:
Deep exposure in road design projects and ability to build a Ground model from survey data. Our prospect should be conversant with the geometric design standards of Highways and streets and should be able to design horizontal & vertical alignments based on AHTO.
ORGANISATION SKILLS:
Candidate should not only e a team player but must be able to build up his team of Cad operators and also coach/train his supporting staff.

PROJECT COUNTRY MANAGER – Ghana (Ref: DDG-R4D/PCMG/10/11)
BACKGROUND: The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) invites applications for the position of Project Country Manager – Yam Improvement for Income and Food Security in West Africa (YIIFSWA) project.
IITA is an international non-profit research-for-development (R4D) organization created in 1967, governed by a Board of Trustees, and supported primarily by the Consultative Group of International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). Our R4D is anchored on the development needs of sub-Saharan Africa. We develop agricultural solutions with our partners to tackle hunger and poverty by reducing producer and consumer risks, enhancing crop quality and productivity, and generating wealth from agriculture. We have more than 100 internationally recruited scientists from about 35 countries and 900 nationally recruited staff based in various stations across Africa. The Project Country Manager will work closely with Objective Leaders (specialists in agronomy, plant health, plant breeding, postharvest technology, and social science) as well as national and international partners to efficiently coordinate and monitor project activities. Responsibilities will include coordination of partner relations and contracts; oversight of the delivery of project outputs as well as the preparation and timely submission of technical, financial and other reports. The Country Manager will take functional guidance from, and report to the Project Manager.
POSITION/RESPONSIBILITIES
Be the main contact for YIIFSWA project in Ghana.
Provide effective and efficient management, guidance, cohesion, accountability, and profile to the project activities in Ghana.
Facilitate the work of an inter-disciplinary, international and culturally diverse project team; and manage financial assets in concordance with the results framework of the project and organizational procedures.
Coordinate all project activities in Ghana including detailed planning and regular review of progress with Objective Coordinators and implementation teams; and ensure collaboration and communication between various partners and stakeholders.
Apply best practices and tools for project management, including monitoring of progress and budget, procurements, data reposition and troubleshooting.
Manage contracts between IITA and project partners in Ghana.
Proactively participate in building / strengthening of teams and partnerships.
Prepare and submit technical, financial and other reports to the Project Manager.
In collaboration with the Project Manager, organize annual project planning and review meetings, monitoring tours, and technical workshops in Ghana.
Ensure effective communication within the project team, identify shortfalls, and devise contingency plans.
Be the liaison person for consultations with national R&D leaders, private sector, non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders on project related matters.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate should have a Masters/PhD degree in plant or agricultural sciences from a recognized university.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
At least 5 years of experience in agriculture R&D and project management.
Working experience / exposure to international organizations and interdisciplinary agriculture research.
Familiarity with agriculture and farming systems in Ghana. Working experience with yam (Dioscorea spp.) will be an asset.
Experience in team management skills.
Proficiency in use of computers, database management software, internet-based tools and other electronic communication tools
Fluency in oral and written English; working knowledge of popular Ghanaian languages.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
DUTY STATION: IITA-Ghana but involves substantial time outside duty station, domestic and some international travel.

Job Title: Research Technician
Qualification
  • BSc/HND in Biochemistry,  Cell Biology  or  Biotechnology plus at least one year experience.
  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently and house and should be able to work extra hours.
  • Training In Genetics, Plant phenotyping Biotechnology is desirable.


Duties
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following:
  • Conduct DNAJRNA extraction and Assess DNA quality and quantity..
  • Set up and conduct PCR for genotyping.
  • Perform gel electrophoresis
  • Score genotype data. 
  • Conduct field and screen-house/green work independently and house phenotyplng of plants.
