SETRACO NIGERIA projects involve the construction of new asphaltic and surface dressed roads, the expansion and rehabilitation of existing roads, infrastructure projects and airport runways in various States across Nigeria.

Job Title       Job Description and          Requirements
Plant Manager    
Brief Description of Duties:
Overview the technical and managerial aspects of the Plant Department, including those of the quarries, stores, asphalt plants and batching plants.
Coordinate the functions, procurement and mobilization/demobilization of Plantfacilities and personnel for various projects.
Provide specialized expertise and advice to the areas of operations on all related Plant aspects.
Coordinate with the Estimating Department for economic plant usage and selectionfor various types of plant application.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 15 years experience in repair, maintenance and management of large road construction fleet of equipment.
At least 5 years experience in similar position with proven record.
Project Engineer (Roads or Bridges works)    
Brief Description of Duties:
Control and coordinate the execution of the work package ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with specifications and crafts standards, specify working methods and interpret specifications and formal drawings as necessary.
Direct the project work and exercise strict control over costs of construction.
Review any variation from the budget expenditures and initiate remedial action as deemed necessary.
Preparation of work progress reports and Certificates of work done.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
3 -5 years experience in same specialization within the constructionindustry.
Strong personality and ability to lead, control and co-ordinate site construction activities.
Senior Plant Engineer    
Brief Description of Duties:
Oversee the full operation of a large workshop including, maintenance, repair, overhauling, trouble shooting and records keeping of Caterpillar, Volvo and general earthmoving equipment.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the workshop personnel and tasks.
Reports to the Plant Manager and follow-up orders of spare parts and ensures maximum utilization of plant machinery.


Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
7 -10 years experience in same specialization within the constructionindustry.
Strong personality and ability to lead, control and co-ordinate workshop activities on managerial and technical levels.

Brief Description of Duties:
Preparation and development of Asphalt/Concrete Mix Designs.
Inspection and testing of earthworks according to specification and field density testing (tests are carried according to British Standards).
Supervising material for concrete and asphalt mixing at batching plant according to specification and standards; and laboratory sample testing.
Controlling asphalt pavement (temperature and compaction)

Quarry Supervisor    
Brief Description of Duties:
In charge of Quarry operations (at one of Setraco quarries), to ensure most timely and cost effective production of aggregates and efficient utilization of all crusher and support equipments.
To plan, lead, organize and control the quarry resources to meet the needs of both the Company’s projects and external clients (including sales/customer services).
Display a hands-on approach to Drill and Blast design and implementation.
Assist with the implementation of equipment maintenance programs.
Establish high standards of work performance and optimum product quality.
Promote quality control, safety programs and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
A background of quarry industry or surface mining experience
Minimum 3 years experience in field
Good communication, written – verbal in English
Heavy Duty Mechanic    
Brief Description of Duties:
Handle repair, maintenance and trouble shooting of Caterpillar and miscellaneous heavy equipment on site and workshop.
Handle effective overhauling of engine, transmission, hydraulic system and undercarriage.

Is able to build a 3D ground model from raw survey data .

Conversant with the geometric design of Highways and streets.
Is able to design horizontal & vertical alignments and fully conversant with AASHTO design parameters and transition curves design speed & superlevations.
Capable to integrate a full feature carriageway, highway, dual carriageway with service roads on separated grades.
Is able to design intersections, roundabout, grade separated intersections with slip roads and flight over\\\’s Freeways.
Able to generate full featurised cross sections; with earthwork quantities; surveysetting out data and to compile mass haul diagrams.
Drainage & Sewerage design:
Is able to do a rainfall analysis and compile rainfall intensities and return periods
Is able to design a drainage network within the road carriageways or in open land.
Is able to load the drainage network and to design the drainage runs, size the pipes.
Generate drainage sections, generate Manhole schedules, pipe schedules and bills of quantities.
Knowledge of one of the following drainage packages is appreciable: Windes ; Wallrus ; Wassp

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The ISO Implementation Manager is the catalyst for our effort to develop a solid Quality Management System for the organization. IITA is an International non-profit research-for-development (R40) organization created in 1967, governed by a Board of Trustees, and supported primarily by the Consultative Group of International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). The International institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian Nationals for the following positions at the Institute’s Kano Station and Headquarters, Ibadan.
RESEARCH SUPERVISOR (Pathology) (18 months renewable Contract)
DUTIES:
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
Assist with coordinating activities in the laboratory;
Conduct laboratory, screen-house and field experiments with scientists;
Assist with culture/isolate storage appropriately;
Conduct sampling, surveys, interpret result;
Prepare draft standard operating protocols for laboratory methods with scientists;
Provide assistance. Guidance to visiting students/Scientists;
Assist with ensuring proper data entry in laboratory books;
Assist with preparing draft reports on time;
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
BSc/HND in Microbiology/Plant Pathology/Crop Protection plus at least four (4) years post-qualification working experience in a research institution.
The ideal candidate must:
Be hardworking honest and trustworthy
Ability to build, coordinate and be a good team player;
Possess very good interpersonal relations, organisational and communication skills;
Candidate should be computer literate in MS Office packages;
Possess a valid Drivers’ license and ready to travel when necessary
Be able to work under pressure, outside office hours and on weekends where necessary.
RESEARCH TECHNICIANS (Pathology) (3 positions) ( 18 months renewable Contract)
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
ND in Science Laboratory Technology plus at least three (3) years post-qualification working experience in a research institution.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word Packages will be an added advantage.
The ideal candidate must:
Be able to work independently;
Be a good team player and be able to follow instructions;
Possess good organisation skills;
Be able to work under pressure, and willing to work outside work hours where necessary.
RESEARCH TECHNICIANS I (Maize) (2-year renewable Contract)
DUTIES
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following:
• Compile list of nutrient enriched hybrids and inbred lines and take stock of seeds available in the cold store
• Participate in the preparation, packaging and dispatch of local, regional and international trials involving nutrient enriched varieties, hybrids and inbred lines
• Arrange nutrient enriched breeding materials in the cold stores in good order to facilitate easy retrieval during seed preparation
• Prepare requested seeds of nutrient enriched parental lines of hybrid, synthetics and other genetic materials for shipment to partners, research institutions and advanced research laboratories
• Supervise casual labor during seed preparation, planting, pollination and harvesting.
• Ensure protection of seed production fields and making sure they are free from weeds
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Senior Research Technician, Research Associate and the Scientist.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
ND in Agriculture and at least four (4) years working experience in similar research areas.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently and should be able to work extra hours.

A first degree in Accounting or Finance, a recognized professional accounting qualification ( i.e. ACA, ACCA or Equivalent) is a must. Masters degree will be considered an advantage
Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience, S years of which must have been in a supervisory role. Must have analytical mind and focus on managing cost.
ACCOUNT OFFICER
